The Seven Chakras and Their Connection to Our Energy
· Rosemary, intuitive tarot reader
Throughout my spiritual journey, working with energy and intuition has taught me the importance of understanding what is happening within us. We are constantly experiencing emotions, thoughts, and changes that influence how we move through life. The seven chakras offer a beautiful spiritual framework for understanding these experiences and becoming more conscious of our own energy.
The word chakra comes from Sanskrit and is often translated as wheel. Chakra teachings have roots in the spiritual traditions of India, and different traditions describe these energy centers in different ways. The seven-chakra system is one of the frameworks I use in my spiritual practice. Each chakra represents an important aspect of our human experience, from our sense of stability and emotional well-being to our intuition and connection with Source. The root chakra is located at the base of the spine and represents grounding, security, and stability. It reminds us of the importance of feeling supported and connected to the physical world. The sacral chakra, located in the lower abdomen, represents creativity, emotions, and our ability to experience joy and connection. The solar plexus chakra, located in the upper abdomen, is associated with personal power, confidence, and the strength to make choices that honor who we are. The heart chakra is associated with love, compassion, forgiveness, and emotional balance. This is a center I hold especially close in my spiritual work because love and compassion are essential to the way we connect with ourselves and others. The throat chakra represents communication, honesty, and the freedom to express our truth with kindness and understanding. The third eye chakra, located between the eyebrows, is associated with intuition, inner awareness, and spiritual insight. The crown chakra, at the top of the head, represents our connection with higher consciousness, spiritual understanding, and the divine Source of creation.
As an intuitive and energy reader, I work with these spiritual associations as part of my understanding of the human energy system. Chakra awareness invites us to recognize where we may be holding emotional tension, where we need greater compassion, and where we can bring more balance into our lives. It is not about judging ourselves or believing something is wrong with us. It is about becoming more conscious of what we are experiencing and responding with love. One of the practices I share is conscious breathing with visualization. Sit comfortably, relax your shoulders, and gently inhale while imagining beautiful white light entering through the crown of your head. Pause naturally for a comfortable moment, then slowly exhale while visualizing that light moving through your body and down through the soles of your feet. Repeat this four to six times, allowing yourself to become present and centered without forcing your breath. Color visualization is another meaningful part of my practice. Green can represent compassion and emotional harmony, while purple can symbolize spiritual awareness and connection. These practices give us a peaceful opportunity to direct our attention inward, reflect on our intentions, and reconnect with ourselves.
Through my work with tarot, Reiki, and intuitive energy readings, I've learned that spiritual development is not about becoming superior to anyone else. Every person has their own experiences, lessons, and opportunities for growth. My purpose has always been to share what I recognize through energy and intuition while honoring each person's freedom to make their own choices. The chakra system reminds us that our physical experiences, emotions, personal choices, relationships, and spiritual lives are deeply meaningful parts of our journey. We can use these teachings to become more aware of ourselves, practice compassion, and approach life with greater intention.
When we take time to understand ourselves, we create more opportunities to respond with patience instead of judgment, love instead of fear, and awareness instead of habit. This is how spiritual knowledge becomes part of everyday life.
The more consciously we live, the more love, understanding, and compassion we can bring into the world. And that is a beautiful way to contribute to the collective.
With love and light,
Rosemary
