Terms of Service

The rules for readings, membership and the Oracle, written plainly so you always know where you stand.

Draft for review

This page is not final. Rosemary and a lawyer still have to read it, and rules marked (default) are proposals she has not confirmed yet. Anything in [SQUARE BRACKETS] is still to be filled in.

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE].

1. Who I am and what these terms cover

I'm Rosemary. I read tarot, offer Reiki and hold Beyond the Veil readings, and I run this site, healingtarotreadings.org, from [CITY], [STATE]. The business trades as Healing Tarot Readings; its legal name is [LEGAL NAME]. In these terms, "I", "me" and "my" mean that business. "You" means the person reading this.

These terms cover everything I offer online: the public site, readings you book with me, the Oracle, the members' area I call the Sanctuary, the community, direct messages and the emails I send. By using any of it you agree to these terms, to the Privacy Policy and to the Refunds and Rescheduling page. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Some parts run on other companies' services. Payments go through Stripe, and readings take place in a video room on this site run by LiveKit. Their terms apply to the parts they run, and I say where below.

2. You must be 18 or older

Readings and the Oracle are for adults. If you're under 18, please don't book, join or use the Oracle. The Oracle may not be suitable for some minors. If I learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, I'll close it and refund the most recent membership payment.

3. What I offer

Tarot readings. A live reading with me, by video or phone call, booked for a set length of time. I use the Celtic Cross or a spread that fits your question. If we agree to record the reading, you get the recording for your own use.

Reiki. A quiet, held time to rest while I work with your energy, usually at a distance over a call. Reiki with me is for relaxation and wellbeing; not a medical treatment. Rosemary is not licensed by the state as a healing arts practitioner. Before you book Reiki you'll read a short written disclosure and check a box to say you've read it. California law asks for this, and the full text is on the Reiki Disclosure page.

Beyond the Veil readings. A reading where I sit with the energy of someone you've lost. I let the energy speak. I can't promise who will come through, or that anyone will, and I never force a message that isn't there. A Beyond the Veil reading is not grief counseling and doesn't replace it.

The Oracle. An AI that writes readings in my style. The Oracle is an AI, not a human and not Rosemary. Section 5 and the About the Oracle page say more.

Membership. A subscription to the Sanctuary with three tiers: Seeker at $11 a month or $99 a year, Devoted at $44 a month and Inner Circle at $155 a month. The Membership page lists what each tier includes. Section 7 explains billing.

Community and messages. A members' forum and, for some tiers, a direct line to me. Section 10 covers how we treat each other there.

4. Readings are for reflection and entertainment

Readings are for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice, and I never promise what will happen.

I read energy, not the future. Energy shifts and changes, and so does what the cards show. I can never tell you what to do. I can only tell you what I see. What you do with it is yours. Your life, your lessons, your growth.

Please don't make a big decision on a reading alone. Don't stop a medication, leave a treatment, sign a contract, move money or end a relationship because of a card. If a reading touches health, money or the law, talk to someone qualified in that field. Nothing on this site creates a doctor, therapist, lawyer or financial adviser relationship between us.

If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number. Reach a person before you reach for a card.

5. The Oracle is an AI

The Oracle is an AI, not a human and not Rosemary. It's a language model that has been given my card meanings, my phrases and my way of reading, so it writes the way I speak. It doesn't have my intuition, and nothing psychic happens when it answers. Every time you open it, it tells you so:

You're talking with an AI trained on Rosemary's style. It is artificially generated and not human. Readings are for reflection and entertainment, not medical, legal, financial or mental-health advice, and never a guarantee of what will happen. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number.

The site's server draws the cards before the AI writes a word, and the AI can't change them. The About the Oracle page explains how a reading is made, what the Oracle will never do, and what happens if you write about harming yourself.

The Oracle can be wrong, and it can repeat itself. Treat what it writes as a starting point for your own reflection. Oracle readings are limited per day. The limit for visitors and for each tier is on the Membership page. Unused readings don't carry over and aren't refunded.

6. Booking a reading

You pay for a reading on this site, through Stripe Checkout, after signing in. Readings are prepaid. A reading you've paid for waits in your Sanctuary until you pick a time, and it never expires. Tarot readings also come in packs of three or five at a lower price per reading; a pack is the same as buying that many single readings, each booked and moved on its own. Times show in your own time zone.

A written question works the same way: you pay for it here, ask it in your Sanctuary, and I answer it there, in writing, by voice or on video. A question never expires. If I can't read for a question, I give it back to you to use again.

You can move a reading free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice, from Bookings in your Sanctuary, up to two times for each booking (default). You can also cancel it there with at least 24 hours' notice, and the reading goes back into your Sanctuary to book again. With less notice, or if you don't show up, the reading is forfeited. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late I may treat it as a no-show (default). If I have to cancel, you choose between a new time and a full refund. The Refunds and Rescheduling page has the whole rule.

Gifts. You can buy a reading, a pack, a written question, an amount, or one, three, six or twelve months of membership as a gift for someone else. A gift is paid once. A gift never expires, and there are no fees of any kind. The person you give it to uses it with their own email, and from then on it's theirs. A gift of membership runs for the months you chose and then ends by itself: it never renews, and nothing is ever charged to them. If they already pay for a membership, or have one I gave them, the gift becomes a gift balance of the same value instead, and they're told. Reiki can't be given as a reading, because the person must read and agree to the Reiki disclosure themselves; you can give an amount instead. The member price doesn't apply to buying a gift; it applies when the gift is spent. If a gift hasn't been used, the person who bought it can ask me for a refund and I'll cancel it. Once a gift has been used it isn't refundable.

Individual prices. The prices on this site are my usual prices. I may offer someone a lower price of their own, for example a client who has been coming to me for years. A price like that is personal: you see it only when you're signed in, before you pay, beside the usual price. It may have an end date, which I'll tell you. It can't be transferred, and it doesn't combine with the member discount; you get whichever I've set for you. If you change membership tier, a lower price of your own applies to the new tier only if I've set one for it.

Gift balance. An amount you're given becomes a balance in your Sanctuary, in US dollars. It's used first when you buy a reading or a question here, after any member price, and the rest, if any, goes on your card. While a checkout is open I set that part of your balance aside; it comes back if you don't finish paying. A balance never expires and carries no fees. If your balance is under $10, you can ask me for it in cash and I'll pay it out. A balance belongs to the account it was added to and can't be moved to another.

Thank-yous. You can send me a thank-you after a reading, or while I'm live on this site. It's a gift: it buys nothing, it isn't refundable, and it never changes how I read for you or for anyone. If you add a note, I may read it, and during a live I may show your name (or no name, if you choose) and your note to the people watching on this site. I never show the amount. Links and contact details are taken out of notes, and I won't show a note that is unkind.

Gifts on my lives and videos. While I'm live on this site, and under some of my videos here, you can send me a small gift (a candle, a rose, the Golden Orb and the rest, from 5 cents to $100). Gifts are paid from your gift balance, so you need an account and must be 18 or older. You add money to your gift balance in amounts from $5 to $100; there's no member price on adding money. Money you add never expires and carries no fees, and if your balance is under $10 you can ask me for it in cash. A gift is a gift to me: it buys nothing, it never changes how I read for you or anyone, and once it's sent it can't be refunded. During a live, the people watching on this site see your name (or the name you chose for the chat) and the gift, never the amount; on some of the platforms I stream to, the gift may also appear in the picture. I never ask anyone watching me on TikTok to pay here.

Comments on my lives. Anyone watching on this site can send hearts, and anyone can comment once they've chosen a name (guests) or signed in (members, shown by first name and membership level). Be kind. Comments with swearing, slurs, links or contact details don't go through, I or the people helping me may delete comments and pause or block anyone, and a comment that sounds like you might be in crisis is shown only to you and me, with the 988 line.

Live readings. A Live reading is a reading I do on air, during one of my lives, so it costs less. Before you pay you agree that it will be shown live on my site, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, recorded, and may be clipped and posted, that you're 18 or older, and you choose the name people will see; you agree again backstage before I bring you on. You book a place in one of my lives in your Sanctuary; your turn is approximate. You can move it to another live or cancel it with at least 24 hours' notice, up to two moves. If I cancel the live, it ends before your turn, or the technology fails, the reading comes back to you, or you can ask for a refund. A Live reading can't be given as a gift, and Reiki and Beyond the Veil are never read live.

Joining me on a live. If I invite you onto a live, you'll see this before you go on, and you must agree to it: your video, voice and name will be shown live on my site, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, recorded, and may be clipped and posted. You can leave at any time and I can take you off at any time. Please don't share private details you wouldn't want seen.

Come to a reading for yourself. I don't read for a third person who hasn't asked. I may end a reading early, without a refund, if someone is abusive or clearly under the influence.

A reading is recorded only if we both agree before we start. California requires everyone's consent to record a call, and I keep to that. A recording I send you is for your personal use. Please don't post it publicly without asking me first, and I won't post anything of yours without your written yes.

7. Membership, billing and canceling

Membership renews automatically, every month or every year depending on the plan you choose, until you cancel. Here is the whole of it, so there are no surprises.

  • The price is $11 a month or $99 a year for Seeker, $44 a month or $444 a year for Devoted, or $155 a month or $1,555 a year for Inner Circle, in US dollars, plus any sales tax the law requires, unless I've offered you a lower price of your own (see "Individual prices" in section 6). There is no minimum term beyond the month or year you've paid for.
  • Before you pay, the checkout shows the price and says that the membership renews monthly, or yearly, until you cancel. You agree to that there, before your card is charged.
  • Stripe charges the card you give at checkout on the day you join, and again on the same date each month (or the last day of a shorter month), or each year for a yearly plan, until you cancel.
  • For a yearly plan, I email you between 15 and 45 days before each renewal with the date, the amount and how to cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in one click from the Sanctuary, under Membership, or by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. Canceling is as easy as joining. There is no phone call and no offer to click past. I email you to confirm it's done.
  • When you cancel, your membership stays open until the end of the month or year you've paid for, then stops. I don't refund unused days or months. (Default for a yearly plan, Rosemary and a lawyer to confirm.)
  • After you join, I email you these terms, your tier and price, and the cancel link, so you have a copy.
  • If I change a price, I'll email you between 7 and 30 days before it takes effect, as California law requires, and you can cancel before the new price is charged. That includes a lower price I gave you coming to an end. If I lower your price, I'll email you to say when it starts.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe tries again over the next few days and emails you. If it keeps failing, your membership stops until you update your card.

Card details go to Stripe. I never see or store your card number.

The Membership page says what each tier includes. I add things as I make them, and I may retire something that isn't working. If I remove something material from your tier, I'll email you at least 14 days before (default), and you can cancel. A membership is for one person and can't be transferred.

8. Your account

You sign in with a link sent to your email; there's no password. Keep your email account safe, since anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell me at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has used your account. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time from your Profile, and the Privacy Policy says what that removes.

9. Content and copyright

Mine. The words, photos, recordings, videos, card meanings, library posts, blog posts and designs on this site are mine or used with permission, and so is the name Healing Tarot Readings. Member-only material, including my recordings and everything in the Sanctuary library, is for members' personal use. Don't copy it, share it outside the Sanctuary, post it anywhere, sell it or use it to train an AI. You're welcome to share a link to any public page.

Yours. Your forum posts, comments, messages, notes and profile stay yours. You give me permission to store and show them on the site so the feature works, and to keep a copy for moderation and safety. I won't use your words in marketing without asking you first, and I won't use them to train any AI. If you delete a post or your account, it leaves public view; the Privacy Policy covers what's kept and for how long.

Reviews. After a reading I may email you once to ask how it sat with you and whether you'd like to leave a review. I ask everyone the same way, and I never offer anything in return for a review. If you say I may publish it, it appears on the Reviews page with the name you choose, the month and my reply if I write one. I publish every genuine review except ones that are abusive, off-topic or share private details, and I keep a note of the reason when I don't. You can ask me to take yours down at any time.

Oracle readings. The readings the Oracle writes for you are yours to keep and share. If you share one, keep the label that says it came from the Oracle, an AI, and don't present it as something I said.

If you think something on the site infringes your copyright, email [CONTACT EMAIL] with the link and I'll look at it quickly.

10. How we treat each other here

The community and the direct line are small, kind places, and I moderate them myself. The Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: be kind, share your own experience rather than reading or diagnosing other people, don't sell or promote, don't screenshot or repost what someone else wrote, and if someone is in crisis, point them to 988.

If you break these rules I may delete the post, warn you or remove you from the community. For a serious or repeated breach I may close your membership, and in that case I don't refund the current month or year.

11. Things you may not do

Don't pretend to be me or anyone else. Don't try to get into another person's account or the admin area. Don't scrape the site, automate the Oracle, resell readings or build a product on my material. Don't upload anything illegal, or anything meant to hurt someone. Don't use the site if I've removed you from it.

12. What I can't promise

I'm one person with a small site. I do my best to keep it running, but it may go down, and the Oracle, booking and payments depend on other companies. I can't promise that the site or the Oracle will always be available or free of mistakes. The site and everything on it are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.

My total liability to you for anything connected with the site or my readings is limited to the amount you paid me in the 12 months before the claim. I'm not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income, lost data or the results of decisions you made after a reading. Some states don't allow some of these limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows, and nothing here limits a liability that can't be limited by law.

If you break these terms and someone brings a claim against me because of it, you'll cover my reasonable costs.

13. California law, and how we settle a disagreement

California law governs these terms. If something goes wrong, email me first at [CONTACT EMAIL] and give me 30 days to put it right. If we still can't agree, claims go to the state or federal courts in [COUNTY] County, [STATE], and we both accept those courts. You may also use small-claims court where you live if your claim qualifies.

California residents: under Civil Code section 1789.3 you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210. My contact details are in section 16.

14. Staying safe from impersonators

I never message anyone first to ask for money, and I never take payment by gift card, cash app or crypto. The only place I take payment is the Stripe checkout on this site. My real accounts are listed on the About page. If someone claiming to be me asks you for money anywhere else, it isn't me. Please report the account.

15. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. For a change that affects members' money or rights I'll email members at least 14 days before it takes effect (default). Using the site after a change means you accept it. If you don't, you can cancel and stop using the site.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still stands. If I let something go once, I can still enforce it later. I may pass these terms to someone who takes over the business; you may not pass your membership to anyone. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, the Refunds and Rescheduling page, the Community Guidelines, the Reiki Disclosure and the About the Oracle page, are the whole agreement between us.
