What it stands for
Neptune is imagination, mysticism and the longing for something beyond this world. It brings deep sensitivity and the ability to feel how things will turn out.
At its best it gives compassion and a wide tolerance, and a sense that life is a kind of dream we each play our part in.
Its challenge is vagueness. Practical details can slip away, and a dream can be mistaken for what is real. The older books said a practical friend or partner is a blessing for a strong Neptune.
How it was read before
Neptune was found in 1846, not by looking but by mathematics. Astronomers in England and France each worked out where it had to be from the way Uranus wobbled.
The older books saw Neptune as a planet of generations more than of single people. It spends many years in each sign, and they read its passage as the spirit of an era.
They called it the planet of spirit and said it is always renewing life in some new form.
Sit with this
Your intuition is real. Ground it, and it becomes wisdom.
Sit with this: what did you dream about lately? Write it down before it fades.
